
The Ministry of Labour has, with immediate effect dismissed Labour Inspector Matthew J. Johns, for issuing a fake Alien Work Permit to expatriate worker for USD1,000.00.
Currently, each alien Work Permit is USD3,000.000. A Labour Ministry press release issued today quotes Minister Cooper W. Kruah as asserting that his action against labour inspector Matthew J. Johns, who was – employed just August, 2024 is in Liberia’s best Interest to stop the spread of Selling fake work permit.
The Minister strongly warned every Employees to desist from giving out fake Works Permits
Minister Kruah then warned all staff and employees of the Ministry to be governed by moral ethics and values, as we enter the New Year so as to build upon gains made this year.

The Labour Minister recounted President Joseph Nyumah Boakai’ Rescue Mission Government’s zero tolerance to corruption, fraud and other malpractices in the public sector, with his ministry being no exception.
